Bharatiya Mahavidyalaya, Morshi was established in 1970 at Morshi which is surrounded by hilly area and dense forest of Satpuda range. The college was established by eminent members of Bharatiya Vidya Mandir, Amravati who themselves were prominent educationists taking into consideration the needs of the students in nearby rural areas. The pioneering members who established this college were Late Shri. Annasaheb Vaidya, Late Shri. Shridharpant alias Nanasaheb Chinchamatatpure, Late Shri. D.N. Alias Babanraoji Metkar, Late Dr. Ganeshprasad Purohit, Late Shri. Namdeoraoji Bele, late Shri. T. D. Vasant and their colleagues.
Late Shri. Shridharrao B. Chinchamalatpure was founder Principal of this college who established the path and progress of this college.He was followed by eminent Principals Late. Dr. Vasantrao Bhagwatkar, Late Z.A.Basit, and Management member Late Shri. B.S Kulkarni and Dr. G. S. Meshram At present the college is making progress under the able guidance and leardership of Principal Dr S. B. Bijawe.
The college provides standard facilities for conducive educational atmosphere to the students. The College has well-constructed and spacious building, well-qualified and experienced teaching staff, well-equipped computerized library, well-equipped computer laboratory, spacious play field and grounds, Gymnasium, Indoor sports facilities, spacious and well- equipped cultural hall, vocational guidance center etc. There are well furnished classrooms for Arts, Commerce and Science courses at Junior and Senior level. Also there is provision of facilities for Master of Arts in Political Science and History and Master of commerce.
The college runs Minimum competency vocational course along with this. There is provision of national Service Scheme for interested students. Along with this, there is provision of other activities such as Competitive Examination Guidance Center. Alumni and Parent Association. The college provides Government, and University sanctioned scholarships to the concerned students.
As per the guidelines by NAAC committee, the staff members regularly honor merit students in their concerned subject by providing them financial support under teacher Guardian Scheme.
